Purpose: lighting modernisation in the congregation’s chapel.
Designer: Barbara Brzeska
Application of 100% LED technology has eliminated the most frequent problems with lighting churches: high power consumption (incandescent lamps), delayed lighting at full power (discharge metal-halide lamps), short life (the need to replace light sources frequently). Application of appropriate light colour and the use of spot and line light sources has give the expected effect at minimum power consumption.
- The use of a DALI-controlled LED strip for lighting the arch with the crucifix.
- Providing appropriate light intensity for reading and praying with LED luminaries directed to the benches and places of liturgical ceremonies.
- Building the right atmosphere by highlighting the chapel decoration elements such as sculptures or paintings; taking care to avoid dazzling people viewing them.
