CSR activity
For many years we are actively taking part in different Social Activities. We cooperate with local community and among other things, we support education, ecology, sport activities and we take care of protection of labour rights.

TOPMET, being aware of its investment in human resources, has been investing in its Employees since the inception of the Company on the market. We have completed student diploma theses thematically related to lighting and we have cooperated substantively in the creation of several Master’s theses.

Enviroment
For TOPMET, the environment in which we work is important, and therefore, for over two decades we have planted around 200 trees in our area. We all care about the environment by carefully segregating waste and consciously reducing energy consumption. The company's production profile, being based on LED solutions, indicates the awareness of new technological solutions aiming at the economic and ecological use of energy. We also tried our luck in two editions of the ECO DESIGN competition.

Employee Rights
The company cares about its staff and social resources. A very long period of employment is a characteristic feature of the company. In some departments, there are employees that have been working there almost from the beginning of the department's creation. TOPMET has attempted to cooperate with such challenging institutions as: Correction Center, Orphan Home, Brother Albert's House. We deliver our products to social organizations, hosting various types of charity lotteries. Currently, the company is establishing close cooperation with the Estate Council, supporting its activity to the highest possible extent.

1989
TOPMET Light - founded in 1989.
The origin of the TOPMET’s name is associated with metal melting - the first technological process on the basis of which the company created its first products, i.e. through replacement of raw aluminium in a form of rolls and bars, which was unavailable at that time, with aluminium scrap casting in steel permanent moulds.
1990
TOPMET Logo
The TOPMET Logo was created through graphical connection of the initials of the founders, i.e. inverted letters KK (Kłosowicz Krzysztof) and letters WM placed one upon the other (Wiśniewski Marek).
new products: DUO STAR, TRI STAR, MINI DUO
Since the very beginning, the company was gaining a competitive advantage through introduction of new technologies to the lightning industry. Those were products that used halogen lamps operating at a low voltage of 12V. We were a precursor in the production of miniature lightning systems, such as: DUO STAR, TRI STAR, and later MINI DUO, through which we have achieved the leading position in the jewellery exposition industry. In the same period, the company applied technology of pressure casting of spotlights, which was an innovative solution in the lightning industry.
The establishment of business partnership
In the mid-90s, the company established cooperation with PHILIPS, and later with OSRAM - the leaders of modern lighting technology. Through cooperation with those companies and the use of the highest quality components, we have achieved unprecedented on the national market at that time product durability and quality.

MINI DUO
2000-2005
HALOGEN 2000
In the late 90s, the company established cooperation with the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań (currently University of Arts), with the result in a form of organisation of HALOGEN 2000 by Rafał Węgierkiewicz. Its results were announced at the Poznan International Fair during the International Furniture and Equipment Fair event in 2001.
2003 - 1st prize for TOPO
With the development of lightning technology in cooperation with PHILIPS, OSRAM and other companies, TOPMET was introducing new technologies to the lightning industry. Those were, among others, discharge light sources, e.g. CDM-R made by PHILIPS, which were used in the TOPO product that received a prize at the Warsaw Light and Electrical Engineering fair in 2003.
2003 - distinction for the MUZYKA luminaire
The LED source was used for the first time in the MUZYKA project in response to international LED ART contest announced by Italian company VLM. TOPMET received a distinction for a luminaire that used LED lights (e.g. RGB made by OSRAM), which at that time were an absolute novelty.
2004 - Golden Medal for K.R.A. luminaire
Energy saving TL5 was another implemented modern light source which allowed to create both the PROFI-LINE family with electronic power supply as well as the K.R.A. luminaire which received a golden medal at the Poznan International Fair (DOMEXPO 2004).
2005 - Golden Medal for KIKA luminaire
TOPMET designers were once again recognised at DOMEXPO 2005 Poznan International Fair. The golden medal was awarded for original crystal KIKA luminaire (designed by Joanna Leciejewska and Krzysztof Kłosowicz).
2005 - the beginning of cooperation with PHILIPS implementation department
In the first decade of the 21st century a close cooperation with the implementation department of PHILIPS was established and since then we have been a part of international group of companies that conduct tests of pre-production, concept lightning sources, not all of which are deployed to actual production. We take part in popularisation of cutting-edge, newly created, mainly energy-saving lightning sources, such as Mini Master Colour 35W in CHAMP luminaire.
2005 - reconstruction of the Company
In 2005, a reconstruction of the company and warehouses began, which increased exhibition, warehouse and production capabilities. The Company got a new elevation and a new image, additionally to a new floor. Parking lots were paved, trees and greenery were planted in the surroundings of the company, which - with a great attention of the management and employees - decorates and creates increasingly more pleasant environment.
After 2005
2006 - distinction for AMO
TOPMET participated in the European contest announced by OSRAM for a project of fixture using MINISTAR lightning source. AMO, designed by Joanna Leciejewska and Krzysztof Kłosowicz, was nominated and took the second place. The distinction was presented at Light & Building 2006 fair in Frankfurt.
Cooperation Network of the Research and Development and Enterprises Sector
Since 2007, TOPMET Light is a part of Cooperation Network of the Research and Development and Enterprises Sector in the Field of Plastic Forming.
2008 - JOJO wins a prize
TOPMET was the winner of the second edition of “EKO DESIGN - światło w dobrej sprawie” contest, organised by PHILIPS. Thanks to the JOJO luminaire project, we won and were awarded with PLN 5,000. The result of the contest was announced at Poznan International Fair “Home Decor” 2009 that took place on 3-6.06.2009 in Poznan.
2009 - 2nd prize for PUFF
The jury awarded the 2nd prize to TOPMET Light Poznan for a modified PUFF luminaire, equipped with Philips MASTER PL-R Eco system. The prize was awarded mainly for a modern design, very high efficiency, uniformity, good light distribution. The result of the contest was announced at Poznan International Fair “Home Decor” 2009 that took place on 3-6.06.2009 in Poznan.
2009 - development of production technologies
At the end of the first decade, a priority was given to introduction of new production technologies, using technical equipment for production, such as semi-automatic and automatic devices. Furthermore, a new powder paint shop was built and the tool shop and ironworks were modernised.
INVESTMENT IN HUMAN RESOURCES
Over the last few year, the company created a modern team that consists in, among others, graduates of Poznan universities, thanks to which the company became more dynamic and obtained a development potential. TOPMET owes its sustainable development to intergenerational cooperation - experienced employees who often have worked for more than 15 years and introduction of young, dynamic people, who are a driving force of the company. The new marketing and design department have employed graduates of Poznan Academy of Fine Arts (currently University of Arts). The projects are developed using an extensive professional software. The Management Board of the Company has individual and flexible approach to each employee. Currently, TOPMET prize itself on creating jobs for disabled persons, as well as employing workers with 15-year experience and at the same time a huge group of young staff, which results in perfect relations between members of the team. The TOPMET staff is full of understanding, empathy, and at the same time is dynamic and creative. As a result, each of the employees has a sense of belonging to the team, which - through diverse personality qualities - creates the greatest capital of the company - its staff.
2011 - CREATION OF THE HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT
In 2011, owners of the company, who wanted to improve the functioning of the enterprise, work comfort and atmosphere, as well as to appreciate employees, created the Human Resources department, which met with general approval. The purpose of the department is development and improvement of the staff, identification of individual needs and an attempt to implement them. We put emphasis on Staff training. We organise integration meetings.
Bronze Cross of Merit
Recognising the entrepreneurs’ contribution to economic growth of the region and their previous activities that boost the development of entrepreneurship, the President of the Republic of Poland awarded the entrepreneurs associated in WZPL with decorations. They were awarded by the Province Governor, Mr Piotr Florek, at a ceremony. Crosses of Merit were awarded to: Mr Maksymilian Bukowian was awarded with a Silver Cross of Merit, and Mrs Zbigniew Bachta, Leszek Klimaszyk, Krzysztof Kłosowicz and Jacek Kulik - with Bronze Crosses of Merit. Decorations were awarded on 20 January of 2014 as a part of annual LEWIATAN Meeting of Entrepreneurs of the Wielkopolska Employers' Association (WZPL).
25 YEARS ON THE MARKET
In 1989, that is 25 years ago, two “citizens” founded a locksmith workshop... So, we celebrate a silver anniversary on the market!
